About Us
The Classical Guitar Society of Victoria is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization incorporated in 2005.

CGSV aims is to bring together guitarists, teachers, composers and the listening public to provide enriching experiences for all, through a variety of guitar-related activities.

Vision
"Melbourne and regional Victorian communities will have a healthy and sustained interest in and appreciation of classical guitar music, including listening, playing, studying, teaching and composing. The classical guitar will be an important cultural centrepiece for Victorian communities."

Mission
"The Classical Guitar Society of Victoria exists to promote the appreciation of and participation in classical guitar music. We will engage in activities that allow members and the public to hear good quality classical guitar music written, played or performed by local and visiting artists, whether amateur or professional. We will be an incubator for interest, appreciation performance and education relating to classical guitar music."

St Stephen's Anglican Church, Richmond

"For providing such a wonderful playing environment for our concerts ..." Rod Tasker - Treasurer

"St Stephen's Anglican Church is Melbourne's oldest blue stone church. Work commenced in 1849 and it opened for worship in 1851. It has been an integral part of the Richmond community since, instrumental in many events and ventures across what is now the City of Yarra. Mindful of the needs of the poor of the city, it helped run the Richmond Dispensary with the Catholic Church in the late 1860s (unheard of!) and continues today with other Churches to run a Food Centre. A major change of focus in the 1980s saw the Church becoming involved heavily in the Arts Community, hosting concerts, exhibitions and performances. St Stephen's is pleased to continue this association with the Arts, and is very pleased to be a patron of the Classic Guitar Society of Victoria." The Reverend Dennis Webster.
